A little about Elle Its so hard to describe one's self sometimes. How you see your self and how others see you can vary greatly. I sometimes wonder if I am who I say I am. Know what I mean? Maybe I just need to be validated. I worry too much about the impression I make on others. Ugh, now I sound whiny and I'm not, but you can decide that. I'm 24 and a stay at home mom. I'm introvert.I am an atheist parading around as an agnostic. I think my journal is an easy read. Post are usually short and silly, along with the occasional rant. I try to comment often. For the most part, I comment more then I get them. I think memes are a legitimate way to get to know people. I don't really hate on people, but people get that feeling because I will question things I don't like or don't get. I understand its annoying, but I really want to see the other side. Knowledge is power and if I understand it maybe I wouldn't be bothered by it anymore, or they will open my eyes to something new. I come and go on here, sometimes days, other times months, but never leave. Now when it comes to LJ friends... 1)Short-ish post. Honestly, If they are long I just scan them most of the time. 2) Something with insight, not just what you did today. 3) People that can make me laugh. 4) Artsy people. 5) Psuedo-intellectuals. 6) People that comment. What I don't like: 1) I don't like depressing journals. I don't like to read about abusive relationships, or how much you hate your life. I understand the occasional vent and rant, but if two thirds of your journal are like that then you are just going to make me depressed. 2) People that like, you know, use the word 'like' like every other like sentences. Like seriously. Cause like when you do that I start reading you journal in a valley girl tone in my head and it like seriously get on my nerves. And I'm like not try to insult you its just a pet peeve. I use like sometimes, but I don't over use it. Sorry. (this one always makes me feel bad, but I just can't over look it; its too bothersome). Well, that's it.Oh, what's that? You've gotten to know me, you fall more in my prefer category, and now you want to be my friend? Great, awesome. Now go add me. Hopefully we can have fun and enjoy each others insight. I look forward to it :) |
